Grilled New Orleans Style Shrimp Skewers
Well, I wanted my last meal of my nice long weekend to have a bit of a kick to it and this one sure did! It was spicy! I had six shrimp so I cut everything in half except for the black pepper. I only used 1/4 tsp of that and I am glad I did as the chili powder gave this enough heat for me! It was tasty but I guess I needed to stir up the sauce more before I poured it on. You can see the clumps of chili powder on my shrimp. Thank goodness for Memorial Day Weekend beer!

Love your picture, that's some good looking grilled shrimp:-) I don't think we have ever used chili powder when grilling shrimp..as I've said many times before whenever you review a shrimp recipe, I know someone who would LOVE this:-D

I wasn't going to leave the first comment yesterday and make a fool out of myself not knowing what to say.I agree with NPMarie.I love your picture. Can you believe that I had "NEVER EVER" had shrimp that I can remember at this very moment.!? I'm kinda scared on having it with all the story's that I've been told.I've been told that they had gotten sick on shrimp.

I'm tryen to remember what Chris & I had at Long John Silver's about 12 years ago and it made us very sick and we didn't go back for at least 2 to 4 years after that. This was at the North Belt Highway in Saint Joseph, Mo though.

If you make shrimp at home, BEG, you probably won't get sick on it. I think everyone has gotten sick at a restaurant at some point in their lives.
I think I've decided that you are just supposed to spoon the butter over the shrimp and leave the other stuff in the bottom of the pan. The butter does pick up the flavor of the chili powder. That way you aren't eating big clumps of chili powder. Next time!
    Thank you, everyone. :)
