LOVED this! I like how this used turkey A: cause that's all I had and B: cause it made me feel a little better eating this :) I made my own thousand island dressing and had some cherry tomatoes I need to use up which made this a little hard to eat, but that was my fault and it was delicious either way :) The sandwich is not that tall, I just stacked the 2 halves for the picture. Thanks DIZ!

I bookmarked this as soon as I saw it:) Loved that it was turkey instead of corned beef;) This will be a great recipe for Thanksgiving leftover turkey! Beautiful pic Michelle!

    Beautiful picture!
I'm not a thousand Island fan, but I bet it's good with the turkey! Looks very yummy :)

Oh my gosh, that's a beautiful photo, Ml2c! We love sandwiches, and my husband's favorite is a Reuben. Unfortunately, he can no longer tolerate sauerkraut, so hasn't had one in a looong time. :(

That is one gorgeous sandwich! I love 1000 Island dressing. Do you have a recipe or do you use one here?

Frankieanne, I was thinking this recipe of yours would be excellent:
    Smoky Thousand Island Dressing

The addition of liquid smoke AND horseradish really kicks the flavor up a notch...perfect for a Reuben...

Thanks everyone! This would be perfect for you Marie, with the turkey :)
I just whipped up a fast 1000 island off the top of my head I guess lol, mayo, ketchup, chopped pickles and a little bit of horseradish (probably remembered that from FA's recipe) didn't measure anything, just tasted as I went.

Awesome photo! Thank you for trying one of my recipes, mommyluvs2cook. I’m so happy you like it. I also like the addition of the yellow tomatoes. They have so much hidden flavor.

Cosmicmother, I've also had Reuben's made with Russian dressing. Seems to be a regional thing as to whether or not you use Thousand Island or Russian.

Had to look up Russian dressing, pretty close to 1000 Island!

Now I had to look it up because I'm confused. lol! I always thought Russian was more like French dressing. Maybe I'm thinking French vs Catalina. Oh, well! Can you tell I'm a Ranch kind of girl? lol!

Lol DIZ, I didn't even know what Russian dressing was, so no worries :) I do know French and Catalina dressing and yes are similar, so that's probably what you were thinking of!
