So yummy! I had some hash browns in the freezer and I love fried eggs so this worked perfect! did not get in the cheese for the pic but once I added it I was too hungry to re-take ;) Great mix of flavors and I love my hash browns crispy too so I half made that work, since I was starving and impatient!

I lost track of time with my nose buried in blueprints. I'm getting ready for a late dinner. I'm starving and that looks really good. Don't have hash browns, but I do have red potatoes. I think I will have to try this. Nice pic. Still using the phone camera?

If you haven't already made it by now, red potatoes would work great! I would chop them really small so they cook quick.

I just got my camera in the mail yesterday and that was my first pic. since having it back.... so relieved ;)

Made this around 10:30pm that night. I did cut the potatoes small after I also nuked them for a few minutes to give them a jump start. This came out very good, however not very picture worthy :( I think I was a bit impatient and hungry to worry about looks.

So glad you liked it! I know what you mean about being hungry and impatient! I almost didn't get the picture in on this one either!

PS Don't forget to put a review on the recipe page :)

OK - it's not 10:30pm and I'm not starving but I WAS hungry and this recipe sounded and looked really good. I wasn't disappointed! And I'm not hungry any more :) I did saute the onions with the hash browns, but layered the mushrooms and tomato on top of the egg. My photos are on the recipe page. I don't think you can add photos here unless you are the original poster, can you?

Hey everyone! So glad you liked my recipe. That was one I came up with when money was tight, low on ingredients, and stomach was talking. I will be uploading some other quick recipes soon. One for fish and one for pork loins. Hopefully they will not disappoint!

Can't wait to see ur upcoming recipes shera, this one was great! Gkwillow what beautiful pics! I'm pretty sure there is no way to add a pic to someone elses post. I've looked before and have yet to find a way...

Thanks for the compliment on the pics. That's what natural light does for you...

Geez GK. What a colorful pic. Can I blame the out coming look of mine on the lack of natural light at 10pm? :) I wish I could make dishes look like that. Mine tasted as good as yours looked, but looked a bit scary. There was no way I was going to take a pic :( I think most of my photos would be better suited for a "Bloopers" group :) As for adding pics to someone else' post that would be a nice feature.

If you're hungry, and the food tastes good, then looks don't count for much. I started taking photos of the food I cooked when I was home and off work because of surgery. I felt fine but hadn't been released to go back to work, so it became kind of a hobby for me that I've kept up now for several years. Started out on Allrecipes as gapch1026 but now I've been converted to GR...

Hey everyone! I just uploaded a new recipe. It's not the simple pork loin recipe I was talking about but it is one that was sooooo good.
Pork Loins Stuffed With Sun Dried Tomatoes And Spinach

Mrpiggy - plating takes practice. I didn't get good at it for a while. Even my pic for the pork loins is not the best. I didn't care.....I was hungry :)

Love all the ingredients in your pork dish, Sheracj! I could just fix the "stuffing" and eat it all by itself :D Did you use dry sun-dried tomatoes or packed in oil? BUT...don't forget those SIMPLE recipes!!!

GK...I used the ones in oil and I did eat the extra stuffing.

Here is the link for the fish. Just need to do the pork one next, hopefully by tonight. Flavorful Tilapia

Oh and the pork loins got featured....woohoo!

    Mommyluvs....it is mouthwatering!

Sheracj - Yeh, Im not too good at "plating" is it? Heck, sometimes it comes out of the pot/skillet looking ugly. I had made a chicken dinner a while back that called for flattening the chicken and I guess I got a little carried away. It went in ugly and came out looking even worse. But it sure tasted great. Most other times I try and end up going through 3 or 4 plates because I make a mess and finally give up because the food's getting cold :D

That pork recipe looks good. I tend to shy away from. I don't seem to have much luck with the outcome, but I have to give this a try

If my memory serves me correctly, it "looked ugly" because of what you flattened it with. :)

Yeh, yeh, yeh. :P But what happened to "If you're hungry, and the food tastes good, then looks don't count for much." ....... You know - I should have taken a picture of that chicken just for fun. Same thing when the first time I made a cobbler and thought I was supposed to empty it on a cooling rack and all the mixed berry goo oozed all over. Is there a "blooper" or "Gong Show" group? Heh, Id probably be the only member :)

Mr., you're right. Plating and presentation don't count for everything and don't show if you have cooking ability or not, or if the food tastes good. And you know what - I bet that cobbler would have been photo-worthy scooped into a pretty bowl and topped with a dollop of whipped cream and sprig of fresh mint! :)

I agree. However, the bloopers video would have been fantastic! I have them all the time. Usually when my friends are distracting me is when I forget main ingredients. One time I forgot to bread the chicken before frying....that's kind of a big step. LOL

Sheracj - that sounds perfectly normal around here. Especially we me. When Im hungry I get impatient and tend to forget ingredients.

GK, I bet that would have looked very good. Im not a fan of whipped cream, though..... Ice cream? Now we're talking :) As for fresh spice/herbs I think I have defective dirt in my yard.:) I tried to grow all kinds of stuff and veggies. Well, 4 anyway (3 seeds of each), and they sprouted a leaf for about a week and then died.......And before you ask, I did water them. :P I was never blessed with a green thumb
