I've made this several times and got it just the way we like it. I increased the green bell pepper to 3/4 cup, used unsalted butter, half-and-half instead of milk, left out the pimento-stuffed olives and the chives, added dill weed and a dash white pepper, and sprinkled Monterey Jack cheese on top instead of using Muenster inside (just because that's what I had on hand). Deliciously creamy, like comfort food gone to heaven!

Welcome to the IMI group, sweetwords. As Frankieanne once said, it's nice to see a new face here. :) You can copy and paste the link to the recipe within your post and that will make it easier for people to look at it

Okay, thanks! It's not that I'm a new face, it's that I'm an old one, and the format has changed.

Then I guess that makes me a new face. :) Because I wasn't a member of GR when it was in its original format. So I just had to learn one way...didn't have to transition from the way the site used to be. IMI is my favorite group... I come here a lot when I'm looking for something new to try.

Hey, sweetwords! Glad to see you again. Where have you been? :) I hope you'll continue to come to IMI and show us what you make. We've got a great group of people who post pretty regularly but someone else is always welcome, of course! Good to have you here!

Hey, Frankieanne! It has been a long while. I've been on the site here and there along, just not a regular poster any more. Haha, when I first found this site, I was making 5 new recipes a day! Grocery bill high as the sky, but we sure were happy! *sigh* It takes a lot longer nowadays to find a recipe I can work with for us. There are lots of "healthy" recipes, but ones that taste good aren't so findable. The one above is not an example of health food, of course! ;o)
