    Any ol' excuse to eat bacon!
    Interesting to learn that this is where corned beef and cabbage morphed from.
    Think the recipe could use a little more detail.
    I'm believing I used a larger cabbage head than what is used in the recipe. It requires more simmer time and more liquid in the pot.
    Mixed it all back up together for the pic but at least it's not out of focus.
    It will use up a lot of salt and pepper.
    Good flavor, but what doesn't taste better with 2 pounds of bacon in it.
    I would simmer the cabbage longer to get more of the crunch out of it, next time.
    I did add the optional onion.
