Italian Thin Crust Pizza

This was a great pizza crust! I went to make this and noticed my yeast was past the expire date by about 3 months. I was not going to the store for anything, so I went ahead and crossed my fingers this would turn out. After the 2 hour rise time the dough had tripled about, so I figured my yeast was good :) I pre baked my crust for about 5 minutes at 400°. Turned out great!!! Oh forgot that I added about a tsp. of Italian seasoning to the dough. A few more pictures on the recipe!

Are you going to rate it? :-)

Oh wow, that looks amazing, Mommyluvs2cook! Spinach is so good on pizza, and I bet the cherry tomatoes tasted great from roasting - yum! I like that you didn't need a pizza pan, something I don't have, and could make it right on a large baking sheet.

Hey, Mommyluvs2cook, great photos! I saved the recipe the other day and meant to leave a comment. Don't know what happened. I'm definitely going to give this a try. I've been to Italy and their pizzas are out of this world. The crust is like no other. It's the perfect balance of light, airy, crispy, soft, chewy all rolled into one. I've never had anything like it and have yet to find a pizza place that has a crust even close.

The key to getting this crust all of the things you described DIZ is really getting it rolled out thin. I did the best I could lol. I highly recommend the pre baking as well. Hope you enjoy :)

Did you get one pizza out of this? I am wondering if I would have to cut it in half.

Ugh, something I meant to mention in my review and forgot. This recipe is for 2 crust so not sure why it says it says it feeds 5? I'd say 8 :) So yes cut it in half and make one crust.

Thanks, Mommyluvs2cook! I was halving everything in my head when I read the list of ingredients to see if they would make one crust.
