    Jellystone Park Bear Beans
Cleaned out the cupboards over the long week and found three!! 28 ounce cans of Bush's Beans. What a single gal is doing with three cans of beans, I don't know but that is what cleaning cupboards is for. Then I cleaned out the refrigerator and found a package of kielbasa that somehow got behind the beer ! :-D So, I made this tonight. Way too spicy for my taste. A tablespoon of chili powder to one 28 ounce can of beans was too much for me. Was patting myself on the back for having two more cans at this point as I added another can of beans to cut the spiciness. I will be making this again as I usually have these ingredients on hand - when kielbasa in on sale. I put some more cooking details on the recipe.

That sounds like it would be good with all the cayenne and red pepper as well. Especially with cornbread. I always have these ingredients.Hmm. Behind the beer? That never happens. The beer gets replaced too often for something to hide. Speaking of which, I hear one calling for me right now : )

Kielbasa is always $2.50 at Walmart.

We don't eat a lot of canned beans although it was one of my Dad's favourites. That being said, this looks very yummy and like a good stick to your ribs kind of wintry meal. I bookmarked it to try. Thanks for pointing it out Frankieanne.

I don't eat canned beans unless I dress them up, Chuckie, and this is a good recipe for that. Yep, its supposed to rain here for five days straight. At least that's the forecast at the moment. I thought these sounded good for those kind of days. We need the water so I'm not going to complain. I'll just stay inside and eat all the leftovers. :)
Thanks for the Wal-Mart tip, MrP. I didn't know that! And, yes, I was wishing I had found a corn bread mix package in the clean-out. But, I didn't have any milk anyway so I was really out of luck.
