    Juicy Oven Fried Chicken
This is good oven fried chicken even if the heat factor smoked up my house. I don't like having the windows open when its only 48 out. Yeah, that's cold to me! :)
This was good chicken and I had two pieces instead of the one I intended. Of course, I had help from a little pudgy dog and a little cat as well.
I've made bunches of oven fried chicken now and I've come to the conclusion that, if its gonna be close to pan fried its gotta be coated in flour with powdered spices in it, cooked in butter and flipped halfway through (or so) into the cooking time. Start skin side down on pieces that only have the skin on one side. I don't see why the temperature needs to be above 375F. If you're cooking chicken on the stovetop in oil, that's the temperature the oil should be. So - why not with the oven as well? Then I don't have to have the windows open when its "cold" outside. 50 to 55 minutes at 375F should get you some done chicken with no smoke factor.
OK. Off the oven fried chicken soapbox now. :-P

Mmmmmm....great picture! I just finished dinner but I could be persuaded to try a piece of that chicken still! Ugh on the smoked up house. I agree with the 375F temp. It looks really yummy and I do love the fact that it's baked.

That pudgy doggie loves his chicken. OK, I nominate you The Chicken with Skin On, Queen. : )
Did you save the fat drippings? Or did this have non? I love crispy skin. My dilemma is I cook for left overs and left over chicken skin isnt crispy : ( When I made your Bisquick Oven Baked Chicken , I did 2 of them with the skin and the rest without so I could have crispy chicken and then skinless leftovers. That worked and looks good to try here as well. yours looks like they came out perfect.

Thank you, Chuckie. That's Boosie aka The Moose (cuz she's so tiny). BooSee. The "s" is soft. My vet calls her "Boozy." I don't know why but its hard to correct her when she has a needle pointing at my little baby! :)
