Korean Spicy Cucumber Salad

Needed a quick accompaniment to an Asian themed meal tonight and came across this recipe by Girlnerd
    Korean Spicy Cucumber Salad
Very yummy. I am not familiar with Korean Red Chili Flakes so I just used my regular chili flakes. Mine didn't have the big, bright bits of red in it but it tasted yummy all the same. Really enjoyed the sesame oil flavouring. The recipe is a little confusing as it mentions adding the sesame oil in two different places. I just added it initially to the sugar, vinegar mixture and I used Rice Vinegar as opposed to just regular vinegar. I didn't squeeze my cucumbers out in a towel, just blotted them with paper towel. :) The dressing is lovely. My sesame seeds were Black Roasted ones and I kind of liked the look. :)
    Will make again.

What a great photo, Chuckie. I keep seeing black sesame seeds here, but never in the stores. I guess I better look harder.....or maybe I should start bringing my glasses when I shop : D

What a great photo! You even had an Asian themed bowl. :) That looks like a refreshing little salad. Easy enough, too.
I finally had to start shopping with my glasses, MrP. Darn it. But, I brought one too many incorrect things home and paid way too much for some meat once. That did it.
