Recipe by Keni: Merda Su Una Tegola Italian S O S
Not at all like the SOS from my military years.
Lots of flavor here! Used mild Italian sausage and bratwurst. Doubled the recipe.
Egg noodles were calling out to me so I added them into the first S.
My sausage did not break up too well so there are some large chunks to deal with.
Used Texas toast for the second S.
I'm wondering if the author meant to say broil instead of bake for the toast. Took 12 minutes on the bake setting to start to brown up the toast.

Eeeks... *phew*.... as you know, I still get nervous when I see you trying one of mine, sir, even though I've been really lucky, thus far! ;)

My bread bakes to golden brown at 450 in less than 10 min, but certainly however you prefer to make garlic bread is fine, here. Broil would work! :)

Thanks for trying it....I remember this "challenge"...it was a fun one and I found Christine's version and have made it several times, since!

Great pic, thanks for adding it.

I actually came across this in my recipe box about a week ago when I typed in "Italian". Had the sausage but no cream or Italian bread, or any of those 2 cheeses lol! Looks delicious and it's definitely on my to do list! Delicious photo Points :)
