Montana Panini

I loved the ranch avocado spread in this! Never thought of mixing the two but it works well! I used regular bacon in this also. For some reason I hate the task of buttering one side of the bread and then laying it butter side down to make the sandwich and getting butter everywhere. I just melt the butter in the pan then throw the sandwich on it. Then when I go to flip I let a little more butter melt then flip. Much easier this way. Anyway, good panini ;)

That sounds and looks like a great sandwich! Looks like you'd have to open your mouth real wide to get a bite, too! :-D

ml2c - Have you ever tried spreading a thin layer of mayo on the bread before turning it? I do that when I make grilled cheese and it browns as nice as butter plus it's a whole lot easier to spread...

OK, now that's a sandwich. Was it really as tall as it looks? I wonder what makes it a "Montana" panini?
Just thinking out loud... or online anyway. :D

Montana Panini is a grilled BCT (bacon, cheese and tomato) with a bonus of turkey on sourdough and a special avocado dressing.

At least thats what MrGoogleDude told me : )

Good job at finding that out Mr. P, cause I didnt even know that! LOL GK! The picture is deceiving! It's actually 2 sandwich halves on top of one another cause I chose a plate too small ;) One sandwich halve looked to tiny for the pic so I stacked them!

As always Mr. p I'm glad I can find you something that makes you hungry ;)

Good job, Mr. P. Never would have associated those ingredients with Montana. Guess it was invented there, I suppose.

I was kinda thinkin it was because Montana is known as Big Sky Country and ml2c's sandwich was tall enough to reach the sky! :-D

and...I'm not the only one to do that mayo trick with grilled sandwiches - I don't know why I started doing that - maybe because I was just too lazy to spread butter (!) but I did see a TV show with Paula Deen and she did the same thing. Although I was shocked since she puts so much butter in and on everything... :-O

What a super duper sandwich! I had to make it minus the avocado (because I didn't have one) but it was still delicious. My pic is on the recipe page. Thanks ml2c for starting the thread. And yeh, in case you're wondering, the color on the bread is from using mayo. ;)

Yes I am definitely gonna try the mayo thing! Pretty pic and glad you like it ;) And I was wondering what the lady as the main photo has to do with this sandwich? Oh well.

I was wondering that too. But it wasn't put up there by the recipe poster - it was just by another GR member named Gubra who has no recipes posted or any other activity on his/her profile page. And I'm re-reading what I wrote to make sure I have not made any typos - or mr p will get after me... :-O)
