Oven "fries"

    Oven Fries
I made these tonight and will definitely be making them again. Really crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, just as good fries should be.

Oh man, those look so crunchy and delish! So, you soak the potato wedges in the sugar and water, right? Interesting..maybe that's what makes them so perfect:) Beautiful pic Bren!

Thanks, Marie. They are really crunchy. I soaked them in water, salt and sugar for 15 then rolled them in a tea towel to dry them. Really easy recipe.

Wow, those look good, Angel! Great photo! I always have trouble getting oven fries or wedges to crisp up. Maybe the sugar and salt trick is the key. Saved!

That's why I bookmarked this, too, Bakerme. I'm never really satisfied with oven fries. I'm definitely going to try this one. They look delicious and definitely are beautiful!

Mine end up not crispy and unevenly browned. More like brown splotches all over them!

Thanks but Manella really gets the credit for this one. I think that it's the paprika that gives them the great colour.

These are very good oven fries that actually get crispy on the outside. Added my picture to the recipe page.

Oh wow, Frankie! I wanted to reach right into your picture and start eating those fries! Can't wait to try them. Do you think they'd work for sweet potatoes, too?

I'm not certain, Bakerme. I'm not a sweet potato lover or expert. Perhaps someone else will answer your question. :)
