    This recipe just wasn't my pickle :-)
    I'm not going to knock this recipe as it just might be my preferences in taste.
    It might just be fine for someone else.
    A quick and easy recipe to make.
    For me, the three flavors seem to cancel each other out, leaving this appetizer tasteless.
    It does quench the appetite.
    I made these as a use for the pickles. I have a recipe in the cue that calls for dill pickle juice and didn't want to just chuck the pickles.

    My grandma used to make these all the time but she used sweet pickles. Gherkins. I remember them being very good, but she didn't use dill. Sweet pickles go better with cream cheese, in my opinion.

    The thought did cross my mind but I needed the dill pickle juice.
    Also thought about using a skinless smoked sausage and some horseradish mixed in the cream cheese. Wrap all that in the ham and it could be slid in a bun with some other condiment as a lubricant. Of course that's a whole 'nother recipe.
