I've never added fresh chopped garlic into pico before! This went perfect over my new quesadilla recipe Fried Eggs With Quesadillas And Pico I did actually use yellow onion instead of red, that's what I had. Thanks Marie!!!

I don't know what's with all the bad food I've been getting lately! I just went to an organic meat market yesterday and got a whole bunch of stuff....wasn't too expensive either!!! Even got a huge thing of BBQ sauce (1/2 gallon) for 5 bucks and it's delicious!!!

I made this tonight just to have with some chips and beer. At the store I grabbed 4 of what I thought were small jalapenos. When they rung them up I saw serrenos <sp?> displayed. They looked the same so I used the 4 for the Pico. Well I guess they are a bit hotter. And it burns if it gets anywhere near the eye : O NP, this is a good Pico even tho I messed it up. Added a pic.

Even after washing my hands twice, my finger tips still burn my face or lips where ever I touch .......Ya learn something new every day

Haha poor Mr P! Well at least your learning! Yeah serranos are definitely hotter and they are a little skinnier but the about the same length. http://www.ecoseeds.com/pepper.hotness.scale.html There is a link to a scale of hottness between each pepper, pretty much in the whole world haha, the "f" and "d" after some of them just means fresh, and dried. I'm glad you liked this, try not to rub your eyes next time lol!

Here is another link to peppers but it's a visual guide to the most popular peppers, it's the main peppers you would use, so you can see what they all look like...http://missvickie.com/howto/spices/peppers/peppersdict.html

Thanks for adding the very nice pico pic Mr. P:) (Try saying that 3 times really fast)
I wanted to let you know if you add some milk to a shot glass (or small glass) and put up to your eye(s) and wash your eye out with the milk the stinging goes away instantly:) It worked for me! lol BTW, have you ever tried a ghost pepper? Supposed to be one of the hottest peppers in the world...Think I'll pass on that one:D

Thanks. for those links, Mom. Heck, the serranos are 5 times hotter than jalapenos according to that rating.

NP, thank you for the info using milk. I think that scares me more than the stinging. My vision is blurry enough. But blurry and milky???????? You tried that, tho? Does the milk burn? Does your vision look milky? Now Im curious : ) And no, I have not tried a ghost pepper. I think I will pass on that one, too

I've heard of those ghost pepper, I think they are the hottest pepper. On the show Heat Seekers on Food Network, they have to eat them often in stuff...and they sit there pretty much crying lol!
