    My New England Clam Chowder

I tell most of the story in the review....

I steamed open my clams in my cast iron and chopped most of them up, but left enough, as mentioned, to serve in the shells in each bowl of stew. Nothing to do differently from this recipe, that I could say. It was rich and full of flavor yet oddly simple, as I expect it should be. I used yukon gold taters and I drizzled a lil sriracha sauce at serving.

I'm adding a couple pics of the clams, too, cus I'm just happy I got to use fresh. It's a rarity, here. Forgive me. hehehe

That sounds like a good meal for this time of year, Keni. Did you use salt pork or bacon? Bacon sounds good to me. :)

Hey Frankie! I did use salt pork, actually... I had some in my freezer from the last time I made clam chowder.... not as good as this time! I used the "fresh packed" clams from the seafood counter, but still not as good as gettin' 'em in the shell!
