    Poppy Seed Honey Dressing
I've been on a salad kick lately and when I ran out of my own homemade dressing I decided to come here and look a new one up. I really loved this. It would be great on spinach and I think it would be wonderful on fruit. More on the recipe.

I am on dressing look out too! Do you think the honey could be cut in half or would it not be sweet enough? My husband loves using homemade dressings I make, but he seems to not like the really sweet one's as much. SUCH a pretty pic! :)

I forgot to mention that I used raspberry vinegar and just corrected that now.
I think you could cut the honey in half. Mine was probably especially sweet what with the honey dijon and raspberry vinegar. Maybe if you cut the honey in half but used a raspberry vinegar and honey dijon? That may work.
Thank you. I was out weeding and ran in and made my dinner before I lost that natural light. :)

Perfect! I have raspberry balsamic which I think should do fine, and I have the honey mustard too :) Lol I find myself rushing at the end of dinner sometimes because I notice the sun is starting too go down!

Oh, yeah, the balsamic would probably cut out some sweet.
hehe At least it is staying lighter later now! :)

I made this and it is SO GOOD!! I used a berry flavored balsamic http://www.calivirgin.com/berry/ and a homemade garlic infused olive oil. I loved it and plan on making this in a big batch to always have on hand :)

Thank you, Michelle, for posting the link to the berry balsamic. Some will be on its way to my house shortly. :-D I love your picture. I really want to try this on some fruit and with that balsamic - yum!

There is all kinds of flavors that they have. I've been eyeballing their strawberry one and citrus burst. Yes, it was so good with the strawberries in my salad :)

Looks good! Saved it. I just made a balsamic vinaigrette and I find it too salty...what to do? Maybe I can marinade w/ it.

Mommyluvs2cook, you know I hate all the balamic vinegars I've tried except the Williams-Sonoma Olivier you recommended. It's sweet and doesn't have that bitey vinegar taste (to me) of all the others. I've never had a fruit balsamic and wonder if it's sweet like the Olivier or bitey like the others.

HHhhmm..not sure Beshy, I've never made a balsamic vinegar and don't even know how to go about it, but yes, I definitely think marinating with it would be the way to go!

Bakerme, yes this is a very sweet and thick balsamic, and I think you would like it!
