    Pumpkin Pound Cakefake Cake

This is a fantastic cake. Quick and easy to pull together and loved the flavour. The pumpkin did not over power the recipe and I used a 14 oz tin. My oven does run hot and do adjust temp according but found the cake was done in 30 minutes so I would suggest you check at 20 minutes which is when you are to rotate. Did a simple butter/cream cheese frosting. Family loved it and will be making again.

The soda is an interesting ingredient! I don't think I've ever seen that in a cake before.

Judy actually did this http://allrecipes.com/personal-recipe/64254499/fake-cake on AR. She also sent me a link for a Duncan hines site that has several different boxed cakes mixes with pop added. It is really good. When I get a change to go on main computer will try and find the link for you.

What a neat recipe, this would be super easy to just let the kiddos do on their own! What flavor soda did you use Nadine?

I just saw and joined this group- for the cake I add a soda that goes with the mix- if you use chocolate- maybe cherry coke and cherries in place of pumpkin- it is just the method I love- I usually use lemon lime or ginger ale for lighter fruit types-have a great day!as Nadine said- Duncan hines has a list if matches- it would be easier for us both - just go to Duncan hines site:-)
