red beans and rice

    A very nice recipe. Turned out just as directed. Doubled the recipe without any trouble.
    Did a 45 minute medium boil and change of water while I sauted the onion, then on to the 2-3 hour simmer. Actually for the simmer, I used the chicken broth that was made yesterday.
    Turned down the gastric gas meter by not doubling the onion to match the recipe.

    After making the headliner picture nice with beans over rice for the recipe, I mixed the rice in with the beans.
