This was AMAZING! This has got to be the best smelling recipe as well as it filled the house up all day with its wonderful aroma! My first time to eat polenta as well! I think it's a fancy word for grits, cause I think they taste the same! LOL! Added a pic. as well, (not nearly as good as the one already there though) :)

They are close to the same but different. Grits uses the heart of the corn kernel and polenta uses corn meal which is devoid of the heart. Not sure if the skin and meat of the corn is seperated before it is ground.

I made this too and I think I screwed it up!

I used fat free feta instead of regular and I used spanish olives instead of black cured. I think these changes just didn't work out right! I think the fat free feta has less flavor because all I could taste was the lemon zest that was in the recipe! And I think the black cured olives would of given it more flavor. Oh well, live and learn! Some recipes just shouldn't be changed!

Sorry to hear that Lillian :-( You know now that I think about it I completely forgot that I went to zest a lemon and realized I didn't have any so I left it out! I wonder if I would have added it, it would have had the same affect on me! When I make it again I'm going to have to remember to just leave it out.
