    Snackin Cake
I would have given this three stars except it did taste good. For starters, why not just buy a chocolate cake, double the topping and put the whole thing in a sheet cake pan instead of using half of a box of cake mix. Now I have half of a box of white cake mix and I don't want to make this again. I wanted to take this to work but its a bit ugly. Maybe I can cut it up first or something before I take it in. More details on the recipe.

I, personally, probably wouldn't make this using only 1/2 box of cake mix! Guess the search is on for a 1/2 box of cake mix recipe! It looks yummy Frankieanne...I would love to have a piece right now!

That is strange that you wouldn't just use the whole box and put this in a 9x13. I think it does look good, and moist too! I would say just pre cut into squares for work.

Oh, thank you, Marie!! That was so nice of you! I bookmarked this (on my computer) and will use it. I think a white cake with some strawberries would be nice.
I did end up doing that, ml2c. Its all wrapped up and ready to go - cut into squares. It is a moist cake, that is for certain. And the topping is tasty. Reminds me of a German Chocolate cake kinda thing. :)

I don't think it looks bad at all. You could always make cake balls I guess.
Hummm, that's a first for me, never saw cocoa drink mix used in a recipe before. I like that.

I don't think it looks bad, and if your co-workers are like the folks I worked with, they'll eat it and love it! They already know how good the treats you make are, so they'll be predisposed to liking it ;)

Well, the guys at work really liked this. One of them told me that I should bring it in every day! :-) He even asked me what was in the topping.

Without looking for a "jiffy mix" size box to check ounces, etc. - would one of the small size boxes work? I don't have any on hand to see what their ounces are, but most of the cornbread mixes call for 8 or 9 inch cake pans. I have see the (8 ounce ?) Jiffy Mix (and other brands) white cake mixes - would this work? It would save halving a box of cake mix, anyhow.
