This is Fantastic!! I used whole milk in place of the cream cause that's what I had. But it was organic :) Used homegrown peas from the farmers market. Sprinkled with extra parmesan. Good flavor!! Served with some crusty bread.

Geez, I had to click all the way to the recipe to see what it looked like. But it was worth the effort. Did you happen to have some wine with dinner : ) This sounds good and your pic looks great. Thanks for the heads up

we did have wine! I remember it was a cold, gloomy evening that night and this was the perfect dinner. Next time try cream though, naughty but it's what takes it to another level :-)

Thats OK, Luisa. I will talk to anyone who will listen : ) I was trying to raz ML2C for forgetting to post her pic and wondering if the consumption of wine played any part in the missing photo. But I want to try this recpe. I dont have heavy cream, but I always have 1/2&1/2

This is one dish I have never had because I wasn't sure about the egg. Does it get cooked? Or is it still kinda "wet" (I guess that's the word I will use).

I would have to assume that the egg is wet. Just like an over easy egg. The yolk doesnt cooked it just gets warm. But thats just my penny's worth

I think since the pasta is hot it cooks it just enough because I didn't get any yolky flavor...

I guess I should give it a try sometime. I've just been too chicken about the egg. Chicken. Egg. haha
It does look tasty though and the ingredients are all ones I like!

to answer the egg question: it gets cooked. basically the heat from the pasta turns the yolk cream mixture into a rich sauce, coating the pasta. Frankieanne, trust me, you'll love it :-)

(think of it like when you add hot butter to egg yolks to make hollandaise - it's kinda like that)
