    Spaghetti Sauce Three Ways
I don't know how I stumbled upon this one but I was searching for a spaghetti sauce recipe and ended up making this one. This is a very good spaghetti sauce! I was going to take a bite after I took the picture and save the rest for later. I ended up eating the whole plate. I'm stuffed, but happy. More about what I did on the recipe. I think I will try freezing some of this. I won't be home part of next weekend and it may come in handy.

Thank you, ladies. I'm not certain if anything will get frozen or not. I think I may use the sauces for my dinners during the work week ahead. I'll let you know! :)

Thank you, Frankie, for making my recipe and for the glowing review! Your photos are fantastic! That's one of our favorite recipes around here and I'm so glad you liked it! It freezes beautifully, so if you don't eat it all this week, pop the rest in the freezer. I do that all the time with the leftover sauce and use it on a night I don't feel like cooking. It reheats wonderfully and I also use it for other recipes that call for jarred spaghetti sauce, such as stuffed zucchini, chicken parmesan, zucchini parmesan, meatball sub sammiches, etc. I bet it would make great pizza sauce!

Uh-oh, I just realized that, since I can't get back in under bestcooker anymore, I can't add the recipe to this group, and I don't think there's a way around that :(

Its a really versatile sauce, Bakerme. I am going to post my pizza results next. :)
None of this made it to the freezer. I cooked up a half a box of angel hair I found and will use it for dinners this week.
No, unfortunately, the recipe won't be able to get added to the group if you can log in as Bestcooker. :(

Sounds and looks perfect! I sometimes use a little sugar to help with the tomato "bitterness". Have also used diced carrots in the sauce..that helps "sweeten" it up just a tad:) Beautiful pics FA!

I had never used sugar in spaghetti sauce before! That was a new one for me.
    Thank you, Marie. :)

    Yum, Yum, Beautiful pictures Frankieanne!
I'm like you Marie, I usually add a carrot for sweetness. But if my tomatoes are really acidic then I add a tsp. of baking soda to balance out the ph without adding sugar :)

Marie!!! It's so nice to see you! :) And you're right, a little sugar helps cut the acid.

Cosmicmom, I've heard of using carrot to cut the acid, too, but not baking soda. In my mind, I see the baking soda making the sauce bubble up like a science project gone wrong - haha!
