Steak In The Oven

I needed something quick to throw together so it could bake while I was at the next door neighbors house for a birthday party. This was perfect, easy, and taste so comforting! Don't let the white potatoes fool you, they are white sweet potatoes I found at a Chinese Market! Used a huge round steak, maybe 2-3 lbs, so what I did was triple up on the water for extra moisture and to make sure the meat was covered and added a beef boullion cube so it didn't just taste like a bunch of water. Not sure if that was even needed since the beef itself adds a lot of flavor to the juice. I came home to check on it about 30 minutes before it was ready and tasted it and added a touch more salt. Really good Joce!

Such a great way to prepare round steak, it has to be tender:) I'll be making this for my DH one day soon, he would really love it! Cool on white sweet potatoes..do they taste like regular sweet potatoes? Great pic BTW!

Did it come out really tender? It looks fabulous. Those white sweet potatoes had me fooled. I'll be it smelled great while it cooked!

Marie, it was hard to tell if they tasted just like a sweet potato because they were in such a savory dish. They did have a hint of sweetness to them though!

It was delicious Joce, it's going to be a go to meal for our busy nights!

I used a fork to eat this FA, so yes, super tender!
