    Stone Ground Mustard Tuna Patties

Love my Boetje's Stone Ground Mustard and I loved these tuna patties! To drain the canned tuna as well as possible, I dumped the can contents in a fine mesh strainer and used the back of a fork to press out all the moisture. I used an entire egg and it was fine for pan frying, but I think I'd stick to just the egg white if I was grilling because the patty was quite soft even after chilling for several hours.

The only change to seasoning I made was to use lemon pepper and garlic powder instead of just garlic pepper. And after the first bite I decided I needed some sort of sauce...so I just mixed up a bit of mayo and sriracha. That's also probably the condiment I'd use if I was eating this as a burger on a bun.

Those look so good! I would serve a sauce with these as well. :)

Thanks! I don't eat canned tuna often except as tuna salad, either for a sandwich or stuffed in a tomato, so thought I'd try something new and I was pleased with the result.

I actually don't eat much out of a can but canned tuna is something I grew up on and it doesn't bother me at all!

Wow, that looks interesting. I never would have thought of making a patty out of tuna. It looks delicious!

Thanks, Frankieanne! I have one patty left that I didn't cook, I'm anxious to try it as a burger on a bun with the "works".
