Helping in the Kitchen

When the grands come over (which isn't often as they don't live nearby) I let them help me in the kitchen, and one of the recipes they help me with is my Albondigas soup which is posted. They like making the small meatballs and sampling the soup when it's done! I'll post a picture when I get some time!

My kids love helping in the kitchen too! They often fight to who is gonna pour the next ingredient in the bowl. So, it teaches them sharing and working together as a team, but most importantly, it developes the love for cooking at home!

I find that if my youngest can get his hands in it, it's the coolest, and he always wants to help. We make sure the hands are "sterile" or as close as possible and I let him dig in. Also, if they help make it, they are more likely to eat it. A BIG plus!
