Where I go for my oils and supplies

  • invisiblechef 16 years ago
For my essential oils and containers I go to Mountain rose herbs, If you want to check them out you can order a free catalog from their website and in it you will find an abundance of great priced products. I have been going through this company for years and have nothing but nice things to say about them.

Also for my carpet freshener recipe which I will add I just use a left over plastic Parmesan cheese container, shake it up and sprinkle the powder around the carpet. The dollar store is a great place to find cheap plastic squirt bottles and rags/wash cloths. I don't use a mop so I go through a lot of wash cloths, the great thing is you can re use them over and over and you don't have to worry about that ugly looking mop in your house. I also don't use a scrub brush when I clean my toilet, I use paper towels, or old socks that I just throw away, of course don't forget to wear gloves. I learned that from a show called How Clean is Your House. So now more scrub brushes to stink up the bathroom either.

Welcome to the group everyone, I hope to learn a lot more and I appreciate you all for joining, can't wait to see all the new ' recipes'

    Marie,
I wanted to thank you for this group too. It's nice to have one place to go for all this info.

    Mumtaz,
This doesn't have to do with cleaners, but I had a thought today, I think we are going to start using gift bags for our gifts from now on, it is much easier than wrapping gifts and we can reuse them and perhaps help the environment a little too.

I am very happy that you are thankful for this group, I wasn't sure how people would react as these may be recipes but they are not edible of course. I know we all learn a lot and have fun.

Add a few drops of essential oils to the inside of the cardboard toilet tissue roll. Everytime the the roll on the holder spins, it will put fragrance into the room.

Mountian Rose herbs is incredible. I go there myself when I can't get what I'm looking for at my local natural food store. The only problem I have with them is that they only ship UPS and it's costly.

I hope everyone learns something here, and it would be nice to see other peoples ideas too. Also feel free to ask any question you may have, I have tons of books on this topic, and if I didn't know off hand all I would have to do is go look it up for you.

    Peace
