Happy Easter!

Do not adjust your monitors. It is I starting the thread on this early Easter morning. Kiddos are going to church with the little girl across the street and I am up to make sure they are good and clean and ready to go. Was hoping last night Steve would do it. He's the early riser, but he has a headache. I'll be heading back to bed as soon as they are on that bus. :)

Gotta say the Easter bunny did a FINE job on the baskets! They are adorable. 'He' outdid himself this year. LOL

Spiral ham and rolls so far on the menu. I'm sure I'll come up with something else as the day goes on. I did make a strawberry pie yesterday and maybe will do another one. Recipe is from Southernplate.com. Deviled eggs of course. Still have to decorate after they get home.

Have a great day everyone! I'll see you after I get a bit more sleep. haha

Oh I think I seriously made a mistake...started drinking coffee while the girls were getting ready and waiting on the bus. Never did get to lay back down and I am feeling the pain right now. I did get my FB requests gone through though. whew! Took me 2 1/2 hours!

Kids are getting ready to dye the eggs. What possessed me to invite neighbor children? Thank God for Jess. She is running that show!

Couldn't have asked for a more gorgeous day today! WOW!

Took the TBO to S&S Cafeteria today for his "belated" birthday dinner. He'd never BEEN to a cafeteria before, didn't get the concept------so we chose today to buy his present (new Wii and games) and take him to eat. He LOVED IT---LOVED IT!! I'm sure we'll be going back on a less busy day. My goodness----lined plumb out the door today but well-worth the wait. Very economical, too. We all ate prime-rib and side dishes like hogs for $35 plus a tip.

I swar---I could take a bath in their custard pie. It had been 20 years since we'd all been, but boy man it was worth going back! (And a side note----LOLLOL---I've never seen so many dressed-up black ladies in their Easter finery and BIG PRETTY HATS!

It is a good day in East TN. :-)

Sounds like a great day Knox!

Thanks for sharing the pix Otter. That's beautiful!

I had the best time with my little grandboys today. Don't get to see them enough. Pix on facebook. Mom had a little pink glass easter basket with jelly beans in it on the end table in the living room, and Jesse said they were "beeyootiful!" lol. Got his carbs in for the day, ate 3 helpings of Dad's mashed potatoes, and declared them "yummy yummy".

Bryan should be home in about 30 minutes. It's nice and breezy on the deck. He had to work today. I think maybe some sandwiches with the leftover ham from Mom's, pasta salad, deviled eggs...and margaritas! OH, and some of Mom's homemade banana puddin for dessert. That all goes with margaritas...right?
