Happy Thanksgiving Sunday! Our Daily Dinner

HAPPY THANKSGIVING SUNDAY!

Good Morning everybody! Happy Thanksgiving to all the Canucks! :) Jim's and my Turkey dinner last night was wonderful. Butterballs are THE best turkeys IMHO, tender and juicy, even the white meat! The beet salad that I tried out was really neat. I'm going to post it in just a bit. Tonight we'll have Hot Turkey sandwiches for dinner.
I am ecstatic to say that Benjamin's work visa was granted. He picks it up tomorrow at 2 p.m. and flies back to Taipei at 7 p.m. Jim and I fly out of Ottawa at 7 a.m. and will get there 25 hours and 20 minutes later. :) That was way more stress than I want to deal with for a long time coming!

Columbus Day holiday here so no school or work for me. Frank has work though. Going to do some cleaning and meal prep getting ready for working full time.

Happy Thanksgiving!!! We also had our turkey yesterday, not a Butterball though. Joe is lactose intolerant and won't eat anything that has the word butter in it. I've explained that there actually isn't any butter in a Butterball but that falls on deaf ears. He's so funny,

Hot turkey sandwiches here for dinner, I think that I enjoy that meal more than the first.

Hi Bren! Lol @ Joe and the butterball! I buy the butterball turkey dogs for my daughter, and they are dairy free! ;)

Turkey leftovers today too! We are getting the house cleaned and finishing up some outdoor yard cleaning etc..I'm still sleepy from the turkey, *yawn*...need more coffee!

PHEW! Janet, I am SO relieved Ben is able to go back to Taipei! I have been worried sick about it and I can't imagine how you must feel! We are having our Turkey today and it is a butterball. We have been working out at the front of the house putting landscape fabric down and mulch down. Lol and we need more mulch and HHW isn't open today b/c it is a Holiday. Oh well we will pick some more up some time this week.

Sounds like you had a nice turkey dinner last night Shona!

Stayed up WAY to late on Friday night, so yesterday I was in a funk all day. Feel much better today though! Going to make a big batch of chicken stock since I have about 5 chicken bodies in my freezer. Maybe make a dessert today too, some brownies or something?....Last night I grilled up some turkey sausages along with the whole chicken Whole Grilled Chicken so we will have those tonight. Not sure what sides yet though. Hope everyone has a great day!!

Hi Bren! Thanks! :) To be honest, I've always meant to google what exactly is in a Butterball that makes it so tender and juicy but I kind of don't want to know as if it's pumped full of chemicals and such as then I won't want to buy them anymore and I do truly love them. :)
