Sticky Sunday

Awww the humidity has hit Florida. It is sticky hot outside. I left work at 1:00 a.,m. and it was like stepping into a SAUUUUNA! Not as bad as July will be, but since I work in a meat locker at work, it was a shock. Fred had fun at the picnic and left me a note claiming so.

Made a kale/sausage/bean soup for lunches with the chicken salad and it was very unexpectedly spicy. Woooo, it took me by surprise.

Marie, when I measure out the ginger dressing, I'll post it for you.

Had a dickens of a time getting GR to load all night. That rarely happens, must have been the half moon. LOL I've been trying to post for 3 hours.

Lori, how did your fragrance promo go? I 'm sure it went well.
Look forward to hearing about your dinner out, Janet.

Making huevos rancheros for breakfast, Egg/Beans and Salsa

Have lots of corn that I must use....Might see if I can make corn chowder in a hurry.

    Hugs to all.

    Good morning!
Soy Vay party was fun. Some neighbors that we hadn't seen in awhile came so that was nice. And my friend Doreen always keeps us laughing. The food was good I posted some pictures on Facebook.
Becca is doing a walk for the Arthritis foundation this morning a friend and classmate was diagnosed with JuvinileArthritis so they are walking in her name and they all have pink tshirts that say team Macy. She has 54 walkers on the team :)
Then we have a graduation party to go to.

    Good Morning Everybody!
Ugh Tina on the heat already! Glad Fred had fun at the picnic. Yum on corn chowder. I don't think I've ever made that you know.
Glad your party went well Laurie. Good luck to Becca on her Walk. What a nice thing. Have fun at the Party.
We had a lovely day yesterday. The weather was just perfect. We took in some Indonesian Folk Dancing near City Hall and they had Food tents set up with very cool foods. Perogies, Mexican, Indonesian, Dutch, Shawarmas, etc. Jim and I did Indonesian. Tried some Corn Fritters (they were okay), with some Chicken skewers with Peanut sauce, and some spicy noodles. Walked allllll over downtown Ottawa. Lots of tulips in Major Hill's Park. I took a ton of pictures. Stopped for a beverage in the Market. Ended up at Ceylonta for dinner around 5:30. Had a wonderful Vegetable Thali, Chicken Palandi, Butter chicken for our niece, Beef Roti (HOT!), Masala Dosa (crispy lentil crepe wrapped around a potato mixture served with a Roasted Vegetable sauce over top). It was very yummy.
Think we're just hanging out here today. I'm going to make
Bryan And Loris Pulled Pork Bbq Or Ribs
    and
    Roasted Asparagus,chive And Asiago Salad
    and
    Twice Baked Spinach Potatoes
    for dinner this evening,
and probably a plate of avocado and tomato slices drizzled with olive oil on the side.
Lori posted on FB that Bryan is indeed home and recuperating. "HI LORI"!

Oh, Janet your dinner sounds so delicious.....I would love the Masala Dosa and extra Beef Roti. What a lovely day walking Ottawa. The tulip pictures were lovely. I had fun looking at the FB photos.
That is a great menu plan for today.

The eggs/rancheros were delicious. Fred is becoming quite the morning cook.
