Good Morning Everyone! Just a quick check in. Had a lovely day yesterday. Toured two wineries and then Jim and his brother played 27 holes of Golf at a super nice course. My SIL, niece and I went for a Hot Tub and ran to the grocery store and then met them for dinner once they were done. I had Chicken Quesadillas. They were okay. Jim had the Fish n' Chips and they were better.
This afternoon we are going over to Jim's cousin's place for a swim in their pool and then dinner (they are serving salmon) and then to watch their daughter's soccer game. Should be fun. It's a beautiful day outside already. Sunny with a big bright blue sky.
Joce, hope you're feeling good today.
Marie, hope you got all your errands done.
Are your eyes better today Tina? It was fun seeing the houses you're interested in on FB.
How did you like the Edamame salad Arlaina?
That Thai restaurant you ate at Michelle sounded wonderful. As did your Beef Bourguignonne.
Sounds like you had a lovely dinner last night Karen. The torte sounded great! Glad you had a safe trip despite the swollen ankles. Cool on a colouring book app. Is it something you have to print off and then colour or is there some way to do that on the computer? Like Google paint or something?
Hungry this morning. Better go rouse Jim and get a cup of coffee.

Karen, oh dear on the swollen ankles! I'm sure they are much better today, it really helps to get get off of your feet when that happens...what will you be doing today?

We will all be going out for Mom's BD dinner..she wanted to go to Black Bear Diner in Paradise..so that's handy for us:) They have pretty good food and you always have leftovers to take home as well:) http://blackbeardiner.com/menu/dinner/

Taking it slow today, it's almost noon and I am just now drinking my first cup of coffee! I actually slept until 10 today, which is unheard of. It's funny because when the kids wake me up in the morning at 7 or 8 I usually feel like I could sleep for 3 more hours, but when the kids aren't here I'm up and wide awake super early and can never sleep in lol. So this morning was kind of nice to get a few extra hours of sleep finally :)

Going to go to the grocery store in a bit, I'm completely out of veggies. Going to make http://www.food.com/recipe/minced-beef-with-chilli-garlic-holy-basil-269125 tonight since I didn't get to make it the other day, my Thai basil was all dried up! Hopefully I can find some Thai basil at the store today, if not, regular basil will have to do. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

Yeah, the chicken pot pie does look good:) I don't know what I will order..I'm partial to a hot turkey sammie with mashed potatoes and gravy with cranberry sauce. The Black Bear does have a "comfort food" type of menu for sure..it's a really cool restaurant, looks like a log cabin inside with high wood beam ceilings..very homey:)

Does your "regular" grocery store carry Thai basil? Mine sure doesn't...

I go through small phases where I wake up feeling fantastic and ready for the day, but most of the time I need plenty of time to wake up before people really want to talk to me lol. I have seen Thai basil a few times at my store, but of course never when I need it. So, no, they didn't have any today :( Picked up some regular sweet basil.

I started DVR'ing Leah Remini's show, she is so funny! I'm sucker for reality shows...sigh....

I get up at 4:30 on Tuesdays and Thursday's to run with the group. Ugh. But normally I would wake up at 7 ish on weekends. I always want to sleep late but can't .
I think tonight's dinner will be chipotle chicken burgers from trader joes. Although it's just frank and I. Becca is off to mall with friends so I doubt she will be home for dinner and Rachel went into Boston with a group of friends and they are eating at Dicks Last Resort.

The Hyatt Hotel in Dallas is interesting. Nothing like my usual life style, that is for sure.

Had a chance to scan today's posts for a couple minutes, tomorrow will be earlier and we will probably eat somewhere in one of the hotel restaurants. Do not plan on driving until we leave. The DFW airport is a strange setup.....it circles around and around to the gates / hotel etc. I would not care to drive here! Have to book out in the morning early.
