Welcome to Wednesday!

    Good Morning Everyone!

I have an enjoyable day ahead. My girlfriend and her husband who had trouble last week cashing in their Aeroplan points now need help doing the same with some Marriott reward points, so Jim and I are heading there after breakfast to lend a hand.

Then we are driving to Almonte (just a half hour away) to buy some tickets to a play next Friday. While there we'll go out for lunch. Probably to "The Barley Mow".

I have absolutely no clue what to make for dinner. Better get on that plan.

I see our Group is floating amongst the Dubai ads this morning. Icky company so we'll try get back on the front page.

    Wishing everyone a great Wednesday!

Have a nice visit with your friends. I can identify with computer problems. My iPhone refuses to update and daughter thinks it is having problems. She is on some plan where you get a new iPhone every few years ....don't ask, I never heard of it....so whe n she trades in her's I can have the one she is using if I want it. I threatened to get a trac phone instead.

    Good Morning Everyone!

I contributed my bumps to help.

Have fun today Janet. I too have no idea about dinner yet tonight. I'm still sipping a hot mug of chia tea and waking up.
Put together some tax stuff yesterday and will finish it today so when the time comes for filing next year it will be easy and not stressful and most important, understandable.
Was watching The Chronicles Of Narnia - Prince Caspian last night. I love the first one but was so tired I fell asleep half way thru it. It's taped so I will rewind it a bit and finish watching it tonight.
    That's it for about now.

SP Karen. Thanks for the phone reminder. Last update some settings must have reset because I was awaken to a "ding-ding" at 5:00 a.m. Need to see what unwanted text message pushed thru.

The cats are conspiring to drive me up a wall. Mel popped in the bedroom when I got up, so Wayne couldn't sleep...it is difficult to stay asleep when a cat purrs and rubs your face. AC demanded to go outside, Trouble waddled her way out with him (she is a bit rotund) and he is back at the window smudging it with his nose on the outside after leaving paw marks on the inside. Mauser chirped and squeaked her way thru the kitchen and finally landed on my lap. She freaked when Wayne straightened the cover on the couch and ran down the hall. Fritz bounded from his crate and sat waiting for the heater to come on. He is always cold and this year he discovered the heater!

Morning Karen. Ugh on phone problems. What's a trac phone? You made me smile when I read about Trouble smudging the window with his nose. Jim and I used to have two cats and I fondly remember their little nose prints on the window down at their level. :)

Good for you getting your tax stuff organized early Linda. I've not seen the Chronicles of Narnia but I LOVED the books as a kid. Ugh on a ding-ding at 5 a.m.

    SP Linda.

Linda, I am on my first cup of coffee after the dishwasher shelf came loose from the track and I had to wait until Wayne got up to fix it. The second is calling. A cup of tea foes sound nice, Linda. Esp in the afternoon on a cold day.

I don't think the Dubai ads will keep us off the front page for long. They are so annoying, but the site is encouraging them; why, I don't know, unless it wants to have wonderful statistics to warrant selling it for a profit.

    SP Janet.

I don't always look at the window smudges fondly. Esp when trying to clean them and the outside is also smudged. We used to have raccoon nose and paw smudges when Blondie would climb up on the indow sill to look inside. I miss him....he was one laid back raccoon, and just ignored Butterscotch batting him when he walked by on his way to sample cat food.

A rac phone is one, like a flip phone, that you buy at WalMart or other store, it has a set number of minutes and when they are up you buy more. Very low tech and I don't know if they have any features, or take photos, or text, or ????? They are untraceable, so I hear, altho I can't imagine ever needing one with that feature.

I hope you get your friends points all sorted out for her again, Janet. Have fun in Almonte. It is such a nice little town.

Good for you getting your tax stuff done early, Linda. Very smart indeed! I have not seen The Chronicles of Narnia but I love the books so I bet it would be good.

I see your Furry friends are keeping you entertained this morning, Karen. I had never heard of a rac phone. Thanks for the explanation. I think they call them pay as you go phones here or something like that?

I have the last of the garden to clean up today before the rain is back again tomorrow. Then on Thursday night, the temps are supposed to plummet way below zero UGH! We are having chicken something tonight for dinner.

    Wishing everyone a great day!

Ok I see my iPad has messed up one of my comments. Sigh. It is a trac phone, and the iPad managed to drop the t. Did I notice that in other comments? No. Apologies for operator head space.

Morning!! Wow..there is too much to catch up with right now. At the gym then I need to go by Sam's and the meat market. I'm thinking about either salmon or red snapper for dinner, I have both. The kids hate fish so I have some frozen cheese raviolis that I may make them with pasta sauce. Will catch up in a bit, have a great day!!

Ugh on below zero temps, Joce. It should be in the 50 F range today,. I think.

I noticed "posts" recorded on the porn groups, but they are listed as private so you can't see them, and I sure don't plan on joining one just to be able to comment. Ha ha.guess we would need a fake account do so.

Fritz hopped up in my lap for a bit, but returned to his spot in front of the heater. He is restless, goes from Wayne's recliner to heater to my lap then starts over. Goofy dog!
The cold weather doesn't agree with him.

I got a few of my garden ornaments brought in yesterday Joce and I also tipped over my three bird baths and rinsed them out so when I get a chance I'll put them inside 'til the spring. This year I've decided to leave the two big planters on the back deck on the back deck as opposed to carting them down the stairs and putting them under the basement walkout. Hoping they don't get damaged by avalanches off the roof this winter but there is an overhang so I might be okay. They're just SO heavy to be moving up and down twice a year.

Oooh either salmon or red snapper sounds lovely Michelle. I'm leaning towards red snapper. :)

SP Michelle. Salmon esp sounds yummy! We have GS this afternoon so likely eat out. Thinking of IHOP or get Wendy's chili! I have not had snapper....

Lunch will be pasta creation with pulled pork, tomatoes, onion, garlc, shell pasta, maybe Parma cheese. That is if his buddy shows up. If just us, not so big a meal.

Good idea not moving the planters, Janet.

Question for someone more wise than me: How do the Dubai posts get on the front pages if position is based on usage? Popular?

Hi Michelle! Yum! I love red snapper! I vote for that.

Yes, Karen, they get on the front page b/c of their order. What I don't get is when you look at Best of the Week the recipes are on the top but they will gradually disappear.

Had a really nice time in Almonte. We ended up going to
    http://www.heirloomcafe.ca/
for lunch. Don't you hate it when your spouse orders the better meal???? Some times I luck out but today Jim lucked out. Mine was good, don't get me wrong, but his was awesome. :) I had a fancy Mac n' Cheese with spring peas and bacon. Jim had an amazing Red Curry soup with a fantastic Roast Beef sandwich. The service was quite slow. Only appeared to be one waiter for the entire restaurant but it was good food once it arrived. We got our tickets for the play next week and also poked about the shops. I picked up a couple of Christmas stocking stuffers. :)

    Made a batch of
    Meatball Soup
for our dinner. It smells wonderful.

We did get our friends sorted out and they cashed in all their Marriott Reward points and then also 'her' Aeroplan points. (Last week it was 'his' Aeroplan points). They are so happy and tickled. :) Did you get your garden finished cleaning Joce?

I went outside when we got home from Almonte and collected a bunch more twigs to make fairy furniture with. Thought I'd best do that before they get covered in snow the entire winter. :) I also collected some moss. It's really pretty and I thought it might be adorable as a chair pad for the little fairy chairs. Don't know what the moss will look like once it dries out or if I'll be able to glue it on to the chair seat but we shall see.

Your lunch creation idea sounded yummy Karen.
