I'm getting there slowly but surely. How are you and John doing? Did I ever tell you that I lived in Derry NH for 13 years? My Dad worked at Sanders Associates in Nashua. I don't know if they're still in business or not.

Had the best breakfast at Lenny's in Clearwater today....what a place! It is a great joint.
Had the Hillbilly Benedict. Biscuits split and toasted, topped with sausage patties, poached eggs, and sausage gravy. Hashbrowns with onions on the side. I don't need to eat for a week. So much for the New Year's New You resolutions.

I'm really late today......and I have no excuse!

Hey, Bean.......no, you didn't tell me that.
Sanders is now BAE Systems, they've refurished the outside of the Canal St location and there's a walkway over Canal. Was that there when your husband worked for them?
They also have a location off Spit Brook Rd.

John and I are trying to stay positive, his attitude is amazing! Thank you for asking.

    Thanks for the welcome, Pleclare

    Bluegrass, Hello there!

When are you posting that recipe nym? Yummm! My husband is obsessed with the Cracker Barrel, but (no offense to those who love it, including hubby) I think that it all tastes the same...too much salt. I LOVE salt, but it's easy to go overboard.
Oh, I just joined this group and I'm looking forward to chatting with all of you wonderfully talented foodies

Welcome to all the new ones in the group! This is a lot of fun.

I don't know if Lenny's shares his recipes. I'll certainly post the restaurant under places. The place is a riot. The waitresses are legendary and known for wise-cracking insults and knowing you as a regular after two visits. All of them have phenomenal memories. It is part New York deli, part Spring Training Philadelphia Phillies hang out, part Florida breakfast institution, there is always a line out the door waiting to be seated. They make it all from scratch. They are open from 6:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. and they serve lunch and dinner from the time they open. Really you can go in at 6:00 a.m. and have a corned beef/pastrami/chopped liver on rye trio sandwich platter, along with sour pickles, and coleslaw, potato salad relishes if you want too. I mean a lot of restaurants serve breakfast all day, but who else have you heard that serves lunch or dinner all day. They even have stuffed peppers that early! The menu is impossibly long and many of the dishes named after the waitresses. There are funny sayings on the ceiling, the walls are covered with pictures of visiting celebrities and the entire back wall is plastered with pictures of Lenny's children and grandchildren. There is a big black fake spider that drops from the ceiling when the door to the bathroom hallway is opened. There are black crows attached to the "wait to be seated" sign, signalling it could be a very long wait...LOL They don't have an employee of the month list posted by the door, it is the Employee S*** list. You do need a hearty sense of humor and a large appetite because the portions are enormous. I highly recommend visiting them anytime you are in Clearwater Florida.

RML, welcome to the group, good to see you here! Tnacndn, welcome to you too!

NYM.......that place in Clearwater sounds incredible, no wonder you enjoy it so. I guess if any of us make it there, you'd recommend wearing elastic waistbands?!
