Cut into slices, Cut slices into small cubes, add a little oil and mix everything up by hand. Put into baking tray and bake in medium oven until golden brown. IT'S MAGIC. You have turned your bread into Croutons

Whirl them around in the food processor or put them in a plastic baggie and wail the dog snot out of them with a rolling pin or meat tenderizer mallot and you have bread crumbs.
Can't have too much bread crumbs when baking fried chicken.

Soak in milk and egg, fry in butter ~ "French Toast".

Slather with jam, make sandwiches, quarter; line up the quarters in a well buttered casserole, cover with egg and milk custard, soak overnight, dot with butter, sprinkle with brown sugar, bake and have a delightful bread pudding.

Cube and add to a meatloaf.

hey thanks who every put my crouton recipe up -

    Stuffing:
perfect for leftover bread, with of course, break it up and add seasonings as if you were roasting a chicken and freeze in a baggie. Next time you need, stuffing, voila! Instant homemade stuffing at the ready.

    Bread Pudding:
though that seems obvious...I am sure there are some great recipes for that here.

To make it like fresh again:
Sprinkle a little water on an italian loaf, wrap in tin foil, and place in oven for 15 minutes, voila soft enough to eat one last time at dinner.
