I met Terry Chandler about 20 years ago on Wrightsville Beach NC when I had gone to visit my son. Terry was in the military at that time. He and my son have remained friends through the years. My husband and I made a trip to Ft. Worth to see my son and to eat at Fred’s. Fred’ has been in Terry’s family for 30 years. We had the lunch special – Sourdough battered chicken fried steak. It was huge. It is the BEST chicken fried steak I’ve ever had. Kudos to Massey!!!. CFS is not on the menu every day so call to see if its on the lunch menu. We went back for dinner and had the beef chipotle tacos. Oh my God, they were so delicious. Hats off to Angel. When you drive up for the first time, don’t let the decor fool you. They have live music in the evenings and a place to sit with a ceiling fan and misters to keep you cool. Don’t miss out on this great food.
