I have dined here numerous times during my lifetime and have never been impressed. While the food is always adequate, the service at the restaurant has been poor. As expected, wait times are lengthy here as well as other shore places. The Crab Trap seems to excel in making folks wait. Tableside service is lacking. The wait staff never appears to have a good understanding of the food they are serving. They are much more summer help than professional staff. If you are looking for broiled or fried seafood, perhaps a lobster tail, or some chowder and want to wait, this is the place. If you want something a little more special, dine elsewhere.
