easy hot Pepper-Glazed Pecans

these are very easy to make... they have hot pepper flakes and a hard candy coating... makes nice nibbles at a party or gifts for the holidays... From: Better Homes and Gardens
Ingredients
- 1 cup water shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1-1/2 to 2 teaspoons crushed red pepper shopping list
- 2 cups pecan halves (about 8 ounces) shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
- 2. In a medium saucepan, combine water, sugar, and red pepper. Bring mixture to boiling. Add pecans and return to boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 12 minutes.
- 3. Drain; spread pecans in an ungreased shallow baking pan. Place in preheated oven and bake, uncovered, for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove pecans from oven; spread on buttered foil to cool.
- 4. Makes 8 (1/4-cup) servings
