Shrimp Butter Spread Recipe

Ingredients

How to make it

  • Put all ingredients except shrimp into an electric mixer and mix well on medium speed
  • Chop the shrimp very fine, and add to the mixture
  • Garnish with chopped chives and serve on crackers

    It is a cajun dish, and some fire sounds good to me too. And thank you for the chives addition, too!! Sometimes, I find myself forgetting to do a little something different! Thanks so much for the comments!

    Sounds like a spread I tasted at my grandfather's wake ever so many years ago. That was the best stuff. Jeff's idea to add heat is a good one; you might also consider using chopped chives for some more color. Actually, though, the photo looks like you're way ahead of me on that. Thanks for posting this.
