Blackberry Sour Cream Waffles

BLACKBERRY SOUR CREAM WAFFLES This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Pryor Estate in Grapevine, Texas in 1996.
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour shopping list
- 1/2 tablespoon granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 egg separated shopping list
- 1 cup sour cream shopping list
- 1/4 cup milk shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter melted shopping list
- 1 cup fresh blackberries shopping list
How to make it
- Sift together dry ingredients then set aside.
- Mix egg yolk, sour cream, milk, butter and blackberries then add to flour mixture and mix well.
- Fold in whipped egg white and pour into oiled waffle iron.
- Cook each side until browned then serve immediately with butter and your favorite syrup.
