This is a salad that my mother has been making as far back as I can remember. It's always on our table at Christmas, but I like it all year long. Enjoy

Ingredients
  • 6 ounces strawberry gelatin
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup mashed bananas
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 20 ounces frozen strawberries
  • 20 ounces crushed pineapple drained
  • 1 pint sour cream

Directions
  1. Combine gelatin and boiling water then cool.
  2. Add bananas, pecans, strawberries and pineapple then stir well and divided in half.
  3. Pour half into oblong pan then refrigerate 1 hour to set.
  4. Keep remaining gelatin at room temperature.
  5. Spread sour cream over gelatin then pour on remaining gelatin.
  6. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours but preferably overnight.
