Caramel Apple Upside-down cornmeal cake

- 6 tbs butter shopping list
- 4 med apples, peeled, cored sliced shopping list
- 1/2 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 2 tbs milk shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans shopping list
- 1/3 cup chopped dried cranberries shopping list
- 3/4 c flour shopping list
- 2 Tbs sugar shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 3/4 cup cornmeal shopping list
- 1 cup hot water shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter melted shopping list
- 2 eggs slightly beaten shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla shopping list
How to make it
- Melt 2 tbs butter in 10 inch skillet and sautre apples over medium heat
- Remove apples from skillet
- In same skillet with remaining butter and brown sugar cook and stir over med heat until butter melts
- Bring to boiling
- Remove pan from heat
- Stir in milk
- sprinkle with pecans and cranberries
- Arrange apple slices on top
- In a bowl combine flour ,sugar, baking powder and salt
- In a medium bowl combine cornmeal, water the 1/4 cup butter
- Stir in eggs and vanilla
- Stir in flour mixture just to combine
- Pour batter over apples
- Bake in a preheated 350 F oven about 30 mins or toothpick inserted in center comes out clean
- cool in pan 10 mnins and invert on plate to serve
