I HAVE TRIED OVER 50 DIFFERENT RECIPES AND THIS ONE I THINK I GOT RIGHT .I RECIEVED FIRST PLACE IN THE FLORIDA ELKS CLUB COOK OFF.

Ingredients
  • 2 LBS GROUND BEEF / OR TURKEY
  • CANNED RED BEANS (OPT)
  • 1 GREEN PEPPER DICED
  • 2 CUPS GRATED SPANISH ONION
  • 2 CUPS BEEF STOCK
  • 8 OZ CAN TOMATO SAUCE
  • ½ TSP CAYENNE PEPPER
  • 2 TBS LIGHT CHILI POWDER
  • 2 TBS DARK CHILI POWDER
  • 1 TBS CUMIN
  • ½ TSP PAPRIKA
  • 1 TBS GARLIC POWDER
  • 1 TSP BETTER THAN BULLION
  • ½ TSP SALT
  • ½ TSP PEPPER
  • 2 TBS APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
  • OLIVE OIL

Directions
  1. IN A POT, ADD OLIVE OIL. ADD THE ONIONS, GREEN PEPPER AND COOK UNTIL SOFT. ADD THE GROUND BEEF OR TURKEY. COOK UNTIL BROWN
  2. ADD THE (BEANS OPT) BEEF STOCK AND TOMATO SAUCE AND COOK FOR 30 MIN.
  3. ADD CAYENNE, ADD 1 TBS LIGHT AND 1 TBS DARK CHILI POWDER.
  4. ADD CUMIN, PAPRIKA, GARLIC POWDER, BULLION, SALT & PEPPER AND APPLE CIDER VINEGAR.
  5. COOK FOR 1 HR, ADDING WATER AS NEEDED.
  6. ADD ADDITIONAL 1 TBS LIGHT AND 1 TBS DARK CHILI POWDER.
  7. COOK ANOTHER 30 MIN ADDING WATER AS NEEDED.,
