Garlic Parmesan Pita Chips Recipe
Gourmet chips are usually expensive, but you can make your own and the results are yummy. Use to scoop hummus or your favorite dip.

Ingredients
  • 2 (7-8 inch) whole-wheat or white pita-bread rounds
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 425
  2. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray
  3. Cut each pita in half and, using your fingers, separate each half into two thin pieces
  4. Brush each side with melted butter, and stack several on top of one another
  5. Using a pizza cutter, slice each into four wedges
  6. Place on baking sheet
  7. Sprinkle cheese, garlic powder and italian seasoning evenly over bread wedges
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until crisp and golden brown
  9. Remove from oven and cool
  10. Makes 32 chips
  11. STORAGE TIP
  12. Store in a tightly covered TIN, not plastic. They will stay crisp longer

Don't you just love these?? I've made them over and over......my only difference is that I use the butter flavored nonstick spray instead of melted butter.
