How to make it

  • Preheat broiler or grill
  • In small bowl whisk together the syrup, sugar, vinegar and cinnamon
  • In saucpan heat 2 Tbs maple syrup mixture, with peans and cook till nuts glazed
  • Transfer nuts to plate to spread out to cool
  • Then when cold, rough chop
  • Season chops well with kosher salt, coarse ground black pepper and drizzle with olive oil
  • Then broil or grill chops ( 7 minutes per side )
  • Brush with the remaining maple glaze every 2 to 3 minutes, turning chops frequently to prevent burning
  • When cooked, let rest 5 minutes before serving
  • To serve:
  • slice cored apples into thick rounds, drizzle with some oive oil, season lightly with salt and pepper and broil until tender, turning frequwntly
  • Serve chops with the apple slices,, sprinkle with the nuts and candied ginger
