Restaurant Style Pork Chops

- 3/4 cup maple syrup shopping list
- 1 tbs balsamic vinegar shopping list
- 1 tbs brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 cup pecans shopping list
- salt, pepper shopping list
- olive oil shopping list
- 2 green apples cored shopping list
- 1/4 cup finely chopped candied ginger shopping list
- 4, 1 1/2 inch thick pork or lamb chops shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat broiler or grill
- In small bowl whisk together the syrup, sugar, vinegar and cinnamon
- In saucpan heat 2 Tbs maple syrup mixture, with peans and cook till nuts glazed
- Transfer nuts to plate to spread out to cool
- Then when cold, rough chop
- Season chops well with kosher salt, coarse ground black pepper and drizzle with olive oil
- Then broil or grill chops ( 7 minutes per side )
- Brush with the remaining maple glaze every 2 to 3 minutes, turning chops frequently to prevent burning
- When cooked, let rest 5 minutes before serving
- To serve:
- slice cored apples into thick rounds, drizzle with some oive oil, season lightly with salt and pepper and broil until tender, turning frequwntly
- Serve chops with the apple slices,, sprinkle with the nuts and candied ginger
