Pear Pecan Cobbler

PEAR PECAN COBBLER This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Irvine Estate in Allen, Texas in 1994.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 3/4 cup coarsely chopped pecans shopping list
- 4 cups thinly sliced pears shopping list
- 1 cup sifted flour shopping list
- 1 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 well beaten egg shopping list
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk shopping list
- 1/3 cup butter melted shopping list
How to make it
- Mix 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon and 1/2 cup pecans.
- Place pears in bottom of greased round ovenware cake dish.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon mixture then sift together dry ingredients.
- Combine egg, milk and butter then add dry ingredients all at once and mix until smooth.
- Pour over pears then sprinkle with remaining pecans.
- Bake at 325 for 50 minutes then cut into wedges and serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
