DRIED BEEF GRAVY Recipe
Good gravy for potatoes and toast and biscuits

Ingredients
  • 1 pkg. dried beef
  • 2 c. milk
  • 2 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Place milk, cornstarch and butter in a saucepan. Cook on low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Add dried beef and salt and pepper. Serve on boiled potatoes or toast.

Sounds good! I thicken with rice flour when I make gravies, but this sounds good :+D FIVE!

My Dad was a cook in the Navy in the 40's and he
made this with peas added and it was called SOS on his ship.I call it Good Eats comfort food

I think this is more of a gravy
SOS are more creamer and more ingredients making it more thicker
