Very easy, hearty, and delicious. The sausage ends up unbelievably tender, the apples and onion practically melt away, and the flavors are just perfect! Perfect for Fall and Winter weather! My girls loved it!

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 large onion, sliced into rings
  • 2 cooking apples, cored and sliced into rings
  • 1 cup apple juice

  5. Remove cooking liquid from crock to 2 qt saucepan.
  6. Add gravy mix and bring to boil (or until gravy is sufficently thickened) over medium heat, stirring constantly with whisk.
  7. Serve with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies.
