Ingredients
- 1 9 inch pie pastry recipe, raw unbaked, homemade or storebought pastry
- 1 cup filling: mix to make 1 cup:
- sweet or savory, some ideas below or use your own
- finely chopped sun dried tomatoes
- grated cheddar or other cheese cheese
- olive tapenade ( Olive spread )
- chopped chives or other herbs
- finely chopped procuitto or other deli meats
- fine chopped apricots
- candied ginger finely chopped
- chopped pecans or other nuts
- cinnamon and sugar
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375F
- Line a baking sheet with parchement paper
- Roll the pie dough on a lightly foured surface into a large square
- Spread or sprinkle filling of choice on dough
- Carefully roll up tightly into a log
- Cut with a sharp knife into 1/2 inch rounds
- Arrange cut side down on baaking sheet
- Bake 12 to 15 minutes until light golden brown
- approx 24 pieces
