Sausage Cheese Balls Recipe

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 375. Combine all ingredients in large mixing bowl;stir well. Form into 1" balls. Place on ungreased baking sheet;bake 18-20 mins or tii golden brown. Remove from oven;cool 5 mins before removing from the pan. Serve with cocktail forks or toothpicks.
  • Note; May be frozen uncooked . To bake from frozen state:thaw on baking sheet 15 mins. Bake in preheated oven 20-25 mins or till golden brown. Variation:For firmer texture,add 3 c baking mix and 2 c shredded cheddar cheese to ingredients listed above.

    Interesting... there must be 100 variations on Sausage Balls. Mine are called Sausage Muffin Balls. I gave up on trying to roll them into balls awhile back. They ended up too dry. I like the extra sausage you use in yours. May have to try that change on mine. As with you, I get orders to bring these to Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.
