- 3 cups fresh mushrooms, sliced shopping list
- 1 cup chopped onion shopping list
- 3 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/3 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 1 cup white cooking wine shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream* shopping list
- 1 teaspoon chopped bay leaf shopping list
- 1 teaspoon celery seed shopping list
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme shopping list
- 6 ounces fettuccine, cooked shopping list
- * As I am lactose-intolerant, I use rice milk or Soy milk, adding several tablespoons of lactose-free creamer (unflavored) until I get the right consistency required. shopping list
How to make it
- Sauté the mushrooms and onions in the butter until tender.
- Add the salt, pepper, and wine; simmer over low heat until the mixture is reduced by half, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the cream, bay leaf, celery seed, and thyme.
- Bring to a low boil.
- Pour over pasta.
- Decorate the top of each dish with fresh sliced mushrooms.
