How to make it

  • Wash and toss berries in bowl. Combine the sugar, cornstartch and lemon juice. Add to berries and mix gently. Combine oats, flour, brown sugar and butter.
  • Preheat oven to 350F. Select 9" x13" pan and brush with butter.
  • Add fruit mixture.
  • Sprinkle on oat topping evenly.
  • Bake 30-45 minutes.
  • Cool a little before serving and add a scoop of ice cream.

    A couple of things on this recipe -
    1) The butter measurement is off - I used 1 1/2 cups of butter and it was swimming in butter - 1 1/2 STICKS of butter is plenty.
    2) Recipe calls for flour to mix with oatmeal & brown sugar & butter for topping - but there is no flour measurement listed in ingredients.

    If you make the adjustment with the butter, this is really a delicious recipe - especially warm with ice cream.
